Louis A. Billingsley, 58, of Oregon, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 30, 2010. He was born to Wilbur Billingsley and Lois McDaniel in Ravenna, Ohio on February 8, 1952. Lou was a graduate of Genoa High School and served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a Railroad Engineer for Norfolk Southern for 38 years and was a member of the Brotherhood of Local Engineers (B.L.E.). Lou was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and Browns.
Lou is survived by his sons; Matthew and Nicholas; father, Wilbur Billingsley; mother, Lois Martin; brothers, Larry Billingsley and Luke (Sue) Billingsley; sister, Lee Andra Karszewski and former wife, Ranae Billingsley. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lana Billingsley.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 11-2 p.m. where services will be held at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Lou’s children.
