FERRIS, Janice G. – Of Flint, age 81, died Sunday, September 25, 2022 in Macomb.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Bernard Drew officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Shriners Hospital for Children.
Visitation 12 p.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Janice was born in Flint, on December 11, 1940, the daughter of the late Marius Hanson and Margaret (Hall) Hanson-Martin.
She married George William “Billy” Moore in 1962 and he preceded her in death in 1971. She then married Robert L. Ferris in 1973 and he preceded her in death in 2001.
Janice was a bus driver for Grand Blanc School District and St. Paul Lutheran School.
She was a member of West Court Street Church of God in Flint. She enjoyed her water aerobic classes at Insight Health and Fitness Center.
Surviving are 4 sons, Ronald (Jean) Ferris,
Timothy Ferris,
David Ferris and
Daniel (Shannon)Ferris;
4 daughters, Sheila (Martin) Riebeling,
Terri (Art) DesRosier,
Kelly (Tim) McPherson,
Tracy Wright;
16 grandchildren;
23 great-grandchildren;
sister, Loretta Keyes;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Love.
