Fred McDonald age 102, died February 2, 2018 in Flint, MI. Funeral service will be held 11 am, Friday, February 9, 2018 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 901 Garland St. Flint, MI. Family hour will be 10:30 am at the funeral home. Pastor Ezra L. Tillman Jr. officiating. Burial in Lovedale Cemetery, Burton, MI. Fred McDonald was born January 13, 1916, the son of Ed and Bessie McDonald in Mason, Mississippi. He departed this life on February 2, 2018. Fred was an Army Veteran serving in WWII and the Korean War. He was joined in marriage to Pauline Jones on January 31, 1959. He worked as a Mail carrier for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 1976. Fred McDonald leaves to cherish his memory wife Pauline McDonald of Flint, MI, son Paul (Cheryl) McDonald of Oak Grove, KY; 2 grandchildren; Keala Mckeague-McDonald of San Francisco, CA, Michael Mckeague-McDonald of Huntsville, AL; 3 great grandchildren, special niece Ann (Donald) Lockett, special friends Joe (Pearl) Hampton, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Heritage Manor, Hurley Medical Center, Heart to Heart Hospice of Swartz Creek, Pastor Ezra L. Tillman Jr. and the First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church Family |
