NINNIS, Clifford “Butch” – of Clio, formerly of Marquette and Flint, age 79, died peacefully on Friday, November 22, 2024, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the Flint First Wesleyan Church – 3525 Davison Rd., in Flint, Pastor Chad Amos officiant. There will be a luncheon to follow that all are welcome to attend.
Butch was born on February 27, 1945, in Marquette, to the late Clifford and Leona (Davis) Ninnis. He received his high school diploma from Flint Central High School, and he was just shy of receiving his master’s degree from Davenport University. For 32 years, he proudly worked at General Motors, retiring as an electrician, and he was a substitute teacher for Clio Community Schools. Butch shared many wonderful years with his beloved wife, Diane. Diane preceded him in death on December 25, 1973. Butch enjoyed spending time with family – especially his grandchildren. He was their biggest supporter and the loudest in the crowd at all their sporting events. Butch’s love and support extended to not only his children and grandchildren, but their friends as well. He was an extraordinary man who can never be replaced and will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Butch is forever remembered by: Children: Laurie (Robb) Heath, Mary Renea (James) Gillespie, and Eric Worden; Grandchildren: Sarah Towler, Eric Bearup, Tyler Heath, and Alexis Biddis; Sisters: Judy Hendrix and Joan (Harold) Ravenscroft; Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Butch was preceded in death by: Wife, Diane Ninnis; Daughter, Randi Kaye Ninnis; Parents, Clifford and Leona; Brother-in-law, Sonny Hendrix. |
