Shirley Ann Carnes, age 79 of Lapeer, passed away on March 4, 2021. She was born in Cadillac, MI on January 15, 1942. Shirley enjoyed bingo and volunteering her time at the Elba Lions Club. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, doing word searches, playing Solitaire and collecting Tupperware and Avon products.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Lenora (Daniel Dean) Hillaker, Marcia (Gill) Baker, Deborah (Wayne) Dockett; son Carl John (Judy) Hillaker; 17 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; sisters Carolyn Guelidig and Donnie Marks; also her significant other John Hoffman.
Shirley was preceded in death by her son Michael Hillaker, her parents Clayton and Geneva; three brothers C.J., Billy, and Walter Davis.
Friends may visit on Tuesday, March 9th from 4-7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 10th at 11 AM at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. Shirley will be laid to rest at West Vienna Cemetery in Clio, MI. |
