Ayotte, Marjorie Ann - passed away peacefully on April 11, 2022 at Abbey Park Independent Living in Grand Blanc. Cremation has taken place through Swartz Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Private services will be held at a later date at Great Lakes Nat'l Cemetery, Holly.
Marjorie was born July 30, 1925 in Flint. She was one of twelve children born to parents Robert S. and Clara J. Simpson, and was of Scottish descent on her father's side. After graduating from Central High School Marjorie worked for a time with the National Weather Bureau and later worked for Michigan Nat'l Bank. She played on a bowling league for several seasons and enjoyed golf. Marjorie was married to Richard L Ayotte and together they shared the great company of and traveled with an amazing group of friends. Her son occasionally joked that he liked their friends better than his own. Marjorie received much love from family and friends during her lifetime, which she always graciously returned.
She is survived by her son Brian R White, daughter Laurie A Powell, step-son Steven (Denise) Ayotte, their son, Austin (Haley), their two daughters Paisley and Makenna, granddaughter Lindsey Ayotte, granddaughter Heather (Matt) Zielke, their sons, Graham and Gavin, and her devoted sister Marion Rodgers. Marjorie was preceded in death by devoted daughter Karen M White (2011), husband Richard L Ayotte (2013).
Marjorie's son gratefully recalls that everyone who met his mother always said the same exact thing, "Your mother is a sweetheart."
Indeed, she was! Good-bye, mom.
