Emma “Jane” Fraim, nee. Armstrong, age 89, a longtime resident of Lapeer, went home to be with her Lord on January 7, 2014. She was born on August 3, 1924, to (the late) Charles and Lefa Armstrong, nee. Turner. Jane married Floyd Wilfred Fraim in 1944 and they were together for 56 years until his passing. She retired from the Lapeer State Home in 1983. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family, sewing, tending to her garden, and relaxing on her swing.
She is survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother. Loving mother of Bonnie Shaw, Linda Hunt, Danny (Darlene) Fraim, Patricia Irwin, Peggy (Edward) Norton; caring grandmother of 22; gramma gramma of 42; great-great grandmother of 5.
Preceded in death by 5 siblings; son-in-law Harry Irwin Jr.; grandsons, Austin Hunt, Kenneth Leroy Vanniman Jr. and Eli Turvey.
Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Capstick Chapel on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11 AM with Pastor Bruce M. Garner officiating. Interment at Dawn Memorial Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday 12-8 PM. Memorial donations to National Stroke Association are greatly appreciated.
