Edward Thomas Cassidy
Age 70 passed away on April 19, 2026 at McLaren Hospital in Flint, Michigan.
Ed worked and retired from General Motors in 2008. He was a baseball coach for New Lothrop Area Public Schools. He enjoyed all sports and went to all of Craig and Courtney’s sporting events.
Ed enjoyed camping and fishing trips with his family and reading books.
Most of all, Ed loved spending time with his family, especially his role as Grandpa Ed to his grandsons.
Ed was born on September 22, 1955 to Edward and Rita (Byrne) Cassidy in Saginaw, Michigan. Ed married Carol Jean Moore on May 10, 1975 at St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing, Michigan. They celebrated their 50th anniversary last year.
Ed is survived by his wife Carol; children Craig (Ashley) Cassidy; Courtney Cassidy (Brent Thelen); 2 grandsons, Tucker and Kai Cassidy. Brothers and sisters; Thomas (Pat) Cassidy; Elaine (Doug) Waldie; Richard Cassidy; Dianne Chludil; and sisters-in-law Diane Moore, Patricia (Jeff) Carlton; Catherine Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law Philip G. Moore and Betty Moore; brothers-in-law David Moore and Ronald Chludil.
