HOLLIS, CECELIA ANN – Age 77, was embraced by God’s loving arms on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton, Father Georges Bidzogo officiating.
Visitation 12-8pm Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Thursday at church until the time of the Mass.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Cecelia was born on September 27, 1947 to Anthony and Elizabeth (Romel) Hincka. She was the 8th child of 15.
She graduated from St. Cashmir Catholic School in Posen, Michigan, in 1965.
Her recent hobbies included watching Christmas movies year-round, reading, spending time with her family, and very frequent trips to the casino with her sister, Margie, or daughter, DeAnn.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, 3 children; 4 step-children, Cecelia Egan (Kenneth Hambey) of Burton,
Sterling Egan of Port Huron,
DeAnn (Manuel) Lopez of Flint,
Edmont Egan of Kansas,
Michelle Egan of Flint,
Maurice Hollis, Jr. of Indiana and Shelly (Eddie) Hoye of Flint;
many grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
along with 2 brothers, Cashmir (Bonnie) Hincka and David Hincka and one sister, Jacqueline Calhoun, all of Posen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Elizabeth Hincka; 2 husbands, Frances Egan (1970-1989) and Maurice Hollis (1995-2017); daughter, Angela; 4 grandchildren; multiple siblings, Genevieve, Elizabeth, Raymond, Louis, Margarett, Mary, Anthony, Lillian, Delores, Clarence and Caroline.
