Williams Kelli Ann loving mother, wife, and friend. Her dedication to family, her work as a teacher, and her husband, Jerry, is a pedestal we should all be lucky to reach. Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday April 30 at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Dan Bowman officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek and on Friday from 12PM until time of service at the church. Kelli was born May 9, 1959 in Flint to Melvin and Yutha Hayes as an only child. She grew up in Swartz Creek, graduating high school from the district of the same name. Kelli went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Central Michigan University (CMU), followed by two Master’s Degrees: one from Eastern Michigan University in Special Education and one from CMU in Academic and Professional Counseling. Kelli worked within, and eventually retired from, Flint Community Schools after 19 years as a special education and English teacher. On December 19, 1981, Kelli married Gerard Robert Williams. They were blessed with four children with whom she passed on her love of travel, Irish heritage, and music. Kelli will be remembered fondly for her desire to lead a happy life, to spend each moment smiling, and cherish moments together with friends and family. She is survived by her husband and four children: Shanna, Trevor, Logan, and Brie. Kelli’s wish was for all who choose to pay respects to do so in a positive way. The family asks that whether you are honoring her during services or within your home, to wear bright, spring-like colors.
