Betty Lou Samida, of Flushing, Michigan, age 85, died Monday, June 28, 2021. Cremation has taken place and a private burial will be at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Krapohl Senior Center in Mount Morris or the Flint Township Senior Center.
Betty Lou was born in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania on August 26, 1935 to David and Sarah (Porter) Stanford. She married William H. Samida on May 30, 1959. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2015. Betty Lou was a proud member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing bingo.
Betty Lou is survived by her son, William J. (Kathleen) Samida; grandsons, Derek (Macy) and Steven (Connie) Samida; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Moorea, Hudson, Emilia, and one on the way; former daughter-in-law, Debra Samida; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Samida; parents, David and Sarah Stanford; and 11 siblings. |
