SCHWARTZ, Penny A. – of Clio, age 72, died peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at home with loved ones by her side. Honoring her wishes, cremation will be taking place. No services will be held at this time.
Penny was born July 23, 1950, in Flint, Michigan, to Robert and Jane (Hewitt) Richardson. She graduated from Clio High School in 1968. Penny married G. David Schwartz on November 25, 1983; he preceded her in death on August 4, 2021. She worked at Citizens Bank in Flint for 10 years and retired from Flint Metal Fab. In 2008 after 30 years of service. Penny attended West Vienna United Methodist Church and City Church in Clio. She loved flower gardening, anything Betty Boop, and Disney – especially Winnie the Pooh and her favorite, Eeyore. Penny enjoyed Sudoku, reading, ceramics and traveling. She enjoyed making Christmas candies, baking, and cooking – her sloppy joes were a family favorite and always requested. Above all, Penny loved being a grandma and loved her grandchildren beyond measure.
Surviving are: Son, Christopher (Stephanie) Schwartz; Grandchildren: Donald Schwartz, Alexandria Schwartz, Christian Schwartz, Wyatt Schwartz, and Raelynn Schwartz; Mother, Jane Richardson; Sister, Susan Richardson; Brother, Robert Richardson; Nephews and nieces: Brad (Marcy) Hardy, Jason (Tonya) Hardy, Nikki (Scott) Blasdell, and Robert (Sarah) Richardson; Mother in law, Alice Schwartz; Brother in law, Jim Withers. Penny was also preceded in death by her father, Robert Richardson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice – especially, Nurses: Chelsea and Mary, and to Pastor Rick for all their support, love, and exceptional care.
