John Jacobs, age 82, passed away on November 26, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by his family.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11am Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Visitation will be held from 1-8pm on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Michigan, a prayer service will be held from 5-6pm Tuesday evening. Visitation will be held from 10am Wednesday until the time of service at church.
Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Judes children’s foundation or Make a Wish Foundation.
John was born on September 5, 1943, in Flint, Michigan, the son of the late Nimrod and Mary (Esia) Jacobs.
He married Camille on May 19, 1973, and together they built a wonderful life filled with love and devotion.
He attended Sacred Heart High School and later furthered his studies to become a licensed pharmacist at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
John worked as a pharmacist for 35 years. In his free time, he loved photography, spending time in the yard and devoted U of M fan. He cherished time spent with his family.
John is survived by his loving wife, Camille Jacobs;
his children, Lisa (Jay) Johnson and Nick Jacobs;
and his grandchildren, Ashley and Adrian Johnson.
He is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Malik, Iyah, Tahani and Haylah along with many nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind his siblings: Norman Jacobs, David (Janet) Jacobs, and Rosemary (Ron)Wilcox; and his brother-in-law, David Sicard.
John was preceded in death by his parents Nimrod and Mary Jacobs and mother- and father-in-law, Max and Margery Sicard and sister-in-law Betty Jacobs.
He will be remembered for his dedication to his profession, his gentle spirit, and his deep love for his family.
