Lauren Graham Sr passed away peacefully at his daughter Sherry's house in Traverse City April 18, 2022, where he resided since July so that he could participate in the Pace North program. He quickly made several new friends and rediscovered his love of socializing, euchre, bingo, singing and fishing.
He was born 12-28-37 to the late Walter & Beatrice (Finch) Graham in Flint, but was raised and lived in Clio most of his life. In 1959 he married Marda Stoley one week after she graduated. Together they raised 3 children, Lauren Jr.. of Farwell, Sherry Graham of Traverse City and Danita (Mike) Hall of Chesaning. He retired from GM/Flint Metal Fab. in 1993, was a volunteer firefighter with the Clio Fire Dept. for 25 years and served in the Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marda in 1998 and a daughter Kimberly Kay in infancy.
He spent most of his last years at his 40 acres in Farwell. Lauren and his family truly appreciate all of the help that family and friends provided over the years to keep him healthy and safe, especially Norm, Carol, Denny, Larry, Anna and Judy.
Lauren was a true American patriot, a talented accordion player, loved hunting, fishing, the Detroit Lions and Tigers, and the slot machines at any casino.
Lauren enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Kyle, Kayla (Dan), Kassie (Kyler), Nicole (JJ), Lauren III (Megan) and Brooke. His grandchildren gave him 6 great grandchildren Zander, Onnalise, Em, Graham, Josie and Axel.
Cremation will take place and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
