William "Bill" E. Cooke, of Burton, passed away on March 20, 2021 at 91 years of age.
Devoted husband of the late Janet Cooke; loving father of Diane (David) Roach, Brian (Tanja) Cooke, and the late Dawn Mawer; proud grandfather of five and great grandfather of four; dear brother of Clem Cooke and Barbara Brocksieck; father-in-law of Greg (Kim) Mawer.
Bill was born in Flint on November 1, 1929 to the late William and Lily Cooke. He was a graduate of Flint Central High School, GMI, and proudly served his country with the United States Army. Bill married Janet Louise Grothjan on June 13, 1953. Following his retirement after 41 years at AC Spark Plug, he and Janet owned and operated Oakbrook Inn Bed and Breakfast for 10 years. Bill was a proud member of the Salvation Army, the Salvation Army Band, and Songsters. He loved his church and family.
