ST. DENNIS, Gertrude E. - Of Grand Blanc, formerly of Waterford, MI
age 88, died Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Henry Ford Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Visitation 4-7pm Wednesday at the funeral home. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Gertrude was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 30, 1933, the daughter of the late Worden and Violet (Cooper) Wells. She loved the Catholic religion. Gertrude was passionate about teaching illiterate children and adults to read. She enjoyed golfing, camping and spending time with her family.
Surviving are children, Thomas J. (Julie) St. Dennis Jr., Mark J. (Theresa) St. Dennis, Linda M. (Fred) Rodriguez and Carolyn M. (Dean) Rothgeb;
11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren;
And sisters, Nicki and Alma.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. St. Dennis Sr., son, Patrick J. St. Dennis, and sisters, Marie, Beulah and Carolyn.
