Steinhoff, Lois Mae - Age 92, of Grand Blanc, died Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Monday, July 18, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Genesee County Humane Society, G3325 Dort Hwy, Burton, MI 48529.
Lois was born May 21, 1930 in Flint, the daughter of Rolland and Rose (Beck) Lockhart. She was a 1948 graduate of Flint Central High School and she received her nursing degree from Mott Community College. She married Harold J. Steinhoff, Jr. August 26, 1950 in Flint and he preceded her in death August 17, 1995. She had resided in Grand Blanc since 1967, coming from Flint. Lois retired in 1995 as a registered nurse from Hurley Medical Center after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Hurley Auxiliary. She enjoyed snow skiing, and gardening and she was a world traveler.
Surviving are: her children, Michael (Christine) Steinhoff of Flint and Joan (Roger) Bouchard of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Joel Herrick of Millington, Chad Herrick of Vassar, and Kimberly (Gary) Goodrich of Phoenix, AZ. Nicole Freyman of FL.; great grandchildren, Alicia, Ryan, Zack, Haley, and Steve.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Doris Mulanix; and sister, Pearl Craig. The family wishes to extend special appreciation to Dr. Jitendra Katneni, MD for the special care given to their mother. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
