BOUCHER, Claude Gervais -- Age 79, of Swartz Creek, passed away May 7, 2021. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Friday May 14, 2021 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd., Swartz Creek, MI. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Thursday May 13, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, a Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM, and visitation will continue 10AM until the time of Mass at church on Friday. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Claude was born March 1, 1942 in St. Benoit, Quebec the son of Francois Boucher and Marie-Alma Veilleux. He married Jeanette Carriere in Flint on August 31, 1974. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a proud member of the Carpenter's Union where he was able to provide his services in the construction industry. He was a member of St. Mary's Queen of Angels, Knights of Columbus, Swartz Creek Senior Center, and the Flint Bikers' Association. In his free time he enjoyed roller skating; ice skating; playing cards; and traveling the world, having visited 40 different countries. He is survived by his wife Jeanette; daughter Noelle (James) Nelson; Grandchildren Paige Nelson, and Jesse Nelson; siblings Camille Boucher, Rene Boucher, Celine Boucher, Olivette Boucher, Marie-Berthe Boucher, Jules Boucher, Nicole Boucher, Line Boucher; and many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff at McLaren Hospice and Regency Rehabilitation. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Betrand, Marcel, Remi, and Robert; and sister Solange.
