MOORMAN, Phillip Thomas - age 85, of Linden, died March 4, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, March 7, 2022 at St Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church, 2439 S Long Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430 with Rev. Fr. Gabriel Bilas officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be 3-7 PM Sunday at St Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church, 2439 S Long Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430 where a Parastas Service will be held at 7 PM Sunday evening. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church, 2439 S Long Lake Rd, Fenton, MI 48430. Phillip was born February 23, 1937 in Flint, the son of Jesse H. and Beatrice (Hoffman) Moorman. He married Marcella Wyczalek on February 11, 1966 and she preceded him in death on December 24, 2017. Phillip retired from GMSPO in 1991 after 37 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and a member of St Mary Magdalene Orthodox Church. Surviving are: children, Deanna Johnson, Brian Moorman, Tina (Scott) Shephard; Lisa Moorman; step-children, Dawn Fredricks, Dean Melton, David (Carolyn) Melton and; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Moorman; step-sister, Beverly Bentley. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Marcella; two siblings, David Moorman and Susan Clark. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430.
