Richard Glenn “Dick” Taylor of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, in Grand Blanc at the age of 91.
Born on September 13, 1933, in Flint, Michigan, Dick was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University, laying the foundation for a long and accomplished professional career.
In 1955, Dick married Patricia A. Teuber. Their marriage spanned nearly seven decades until her passing earlier this year.
Dick devoted 36 years to General Motors at Buick City in Flint, where he worked in plant management until his retirement. His leadership and dedication left a meaningful impact on his colleagues and the organization. After retiring from Buick, Dick worked at Swartz Funeral home.
A man of deep faith, Dick was a life member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Flint. His commitment to his spiritual community was a guiding force throughout his life.
Dick’s greatest pride was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his sons Mark (Debbie) Taylor, Timothy (Diane) Taylor, Glenn (Carol) Taylor, and David (Geri) Taylor; his daughter Ann (Kevin) Chapman; and his sister Cheri Pape of Colorado. He was a proud grandfather to 17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A (Teuber); baby boy Taylor; daughter Barbara (Roger) Gohl; his brother James Taylor and sister-in-law Marilyn; and his sister Janice and brother-in-law Roger Prince.
A Funeral Service will be held on July 28, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM prior to the service.
Dick’s legacy is one of devotion—to his work, his faith, and most importantly, to his family. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

Burial in Flushing Cemetery.
