DICKINSON, Barbara J. – Of Flint, age 89, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Wellbridge of Fenton.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jeremy Peters officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan on October 18, 1930, the daughter of the late Clarence and Violet (Graham) Carlson.
She retired from GM Buick Motor Division in the Accounting Department after 25 years.
Barbara was an avid sports fan and she especially loved watching football and baseball. She enjoyed coaching her children in softball. Barbara also liked to spend time bowling.
Surviving are children, Greg LaMay, Lynn Ashley, Robert Dickinson and Nancy Dickinson;
grandchildren, Justin (Suzy) Dickinson, Randeigh Dickinson, R.J. (McKenzie) Dickinson and Katelyn Ashley;
great-grandchildren, Rylann Grace Dickinson and Blakely Georgia Dickinson;
step-daughters, Sharlene (Gary) Thrall and Kay Dickinson;
step-daughters-in-law, Vivian Dickinson and Carrie Dickinson;
many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren;
several nieces, nephews; great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Dickinson; son, Randy LaMay; step-sons, Brian and James Dickinson.
