Klockenga, Cory – of Clio, age 58, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at Maple Woods Manor. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Monday, March 3, 2025 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial to follow in West Vienna Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 1PM until 7PM at the funeral home and on Monday from 10AM until the time of service. Funeral service will be live streaming on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Karmanos Cancer Institute of Flint.
Cory was born January 12, 1967, in Geneseo, Illinois, to the late Cary and Nancy (Urban) Klockenga. Cory was a proud graduate of Atkinson High School, Class of 1985, and continued his educational journey by earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University in 2008. He married Tamara Klockenga, on May 4, 1996, with whom he shared a beautiful life filled with love and companionship. His professional career as a design engineer at Tri-Mer Corporation for six years was marked by creativity, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in air systems design. Beyond his professional achievements, Cory was known for his vibrant spirit and love of life's simple pleasures. In 2014, he was honored as a published artist, reflecting his passion and talent in creative expression. He brought joy to many through his art and the warmth of his personality, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Surviving are: Loving wife of 28 years, Tammy Klockenga; Children: Ryan (Katie) Hodgins, Jason (Gina) Hodgins, Aaron (Zach) Hodgins and Jordan Klockenga; 5 grandchildren: Lex Hodgins, Searra Hodgins, Kalyn Hodgins, Chase Hodgins, Rylynn Hodgins; Brother, Michael (Regenia) Klockenga; Niece Allie Klockenga and nephew, Alex Lloyd. He is preceded in passing by his Father, Cary D. Klockenga; Mother, Nancy M. Klockenga; Father-In-Law, Gerald W. Brown; Mother-In-Law, Carolyn C. Brown; Niece, Melissa Lloyd. |
