Muriel was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 26, 1920, to Irene Wilaham and Frank Barnes. Muriel worked at AC from 1941 to 1974, retiring with 33 years of service. She was a proud member of Local 651 and Eastside Senior Center. She was a fun loving person and enjoyed line dancing and going to the casino. Muriel was a warm-hearted and caring person that brought joy to those that came into contact with her. She was preceded in death by husband Russell Lonsberry, her honorary children and close friends, Dennis and Margaret Vaughter. She is survived by honorary granddaughter Krista Monroe, friend Pamela Vaughter Carpenter, and many neighbors and friends that she has known throughout her life. Cremation has taken place, and at her request there will be no memorial service. |
