JOHNSON, Harvey L. – Of Flint, age 94, died Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Fenton Healthcare.
Private burial in Gracelawn Cemetery.
Harvey was born in in Ogilvie, Minnesota on August 20, 1924. After living in Ogilvie, he moved to Michigan where he lived the rest of his life. He proudly served his Country in the U.S. Army/Air Force during WWII, being ranked as a Corporal and serving in Guam. He was honorably discharged. On June 2, 1951, he married Betty Lucille Andrews in Flint, Michigan. Mr. Johnson worked at Buick Motors Division for 34 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the NRA, the American Legion Post 0225 (Lansing), a life member of the Flint Jaycees, the National Campers & Hikers Association and "Camp-Panions".
Surviving are son, Cecil Johnson;
sister, Elaine Dolan;
brothers, Clarence (Mary) Johnson, Melvin Johnson and Alvin Johnson;
6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 2002; daughter, Maggie in 2001; daughter, Elizabeth Krumlauf, parents, Henry and Effie Johnson; sister and brother-in law, Jeannette and Bob McVannel; sister, Alice Johnson; brother, Bob Johnson; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Johnson and brother-in-law, Doug Dolan.
