Darlene F Schlicker of Bay City, MI passed away at her home on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born in Cheboygan, MI on May 20, 1945 to Charles (Chuck) and Ida (Marge) (Thomas) Manning, where many family members still reside. She attended TL Handy High School, where she met and married Gary L Schlicker in 1961, had two daughters and lived in Bay County her entire adult life. In younger years, Darlene worked on a farm, owned, and operated a car dealership, taught ORV, and snowmobile classes through the DNR and later worked and retired from Steven's Cycle Sales. Darlene enjoyed people. She loved hunting with family, all kinds of motor sports, get together’s and any type of celebration. She was always willing to volunteer for all sorts of fundraising events. Her hobbies included bowling, golf, boating, snowmobiling, camping, and reading. Over the years Darlene was a member of several organizations, including Eagles Club, Moose Lodge and Saginaw Business Owners Association. She is survived by her children, two daughters, Shellie (Wendy Priest) Schlicker, and Tracie (Lyle) Barber, grandson Jacob (Claudia Gielda) Barber, granddaughter Nicole Barber, great-granddaughter Elizabeth and best friend Kitty Berno. Brothers, Charles (Kathy) Manning, Gerald (Nancy) Manning, Michael (Kelly) Manning and sister, Mary (Daniel) Ziegelmann, and several nieces, nephews, and many lifelong Friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Chuck and Marge Manning, and one brother Larry Manning, and nieces Christine and Darcy, and two kitties Jack and Sammy. Family will greet friends on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 11:00 am – 6:00 pm at Rivertown Funeral Chapel. Please follow the states COVID 19 guidelines during visitation.
