Nannie Bell Deaton-Fletcher
Age 84 of Flushing, formerly of New Lothrop, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Regency of Grand Blanc.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Paul Brashaw officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel on Tuesday, March 15 from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. Visitation will also be held 10:00am Wednesday at the church until the time of service.
Nannie was born in Wolf Coal, Kentucky on July 31, 1937 to the late William and Jennie (Turner) Arrowood. Nannie married Wilson Deaton on September 3, 1955; he predeceased her in 1991 after 36 years of marriage. She later married James Fletcher in September of 1997. Nannie was a homemaker and had also worked in the ministry alongside late husband, Reverend Wilson Deaton. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene all her adult life. Nannie liked visiting with family and friends, reading, going out to eat, and watching Hallmark movies. She also enjoyed spending time bird and squirrel watching and spoiling Peaches the cat.
Nannie is survived by her children, Betty (Jim) Thomas, Wilson (Robin) Deaton and Debora (Tim Horne) Crawley; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Herald and Barb (Jerry) Johnson; brother, William (Jessie) Arrowood and brother-in-law, Bill Bullard.
She was predeceased by her parents, William and Jennie Arrowood; husbands, Wilson Deaton and James Fletcher; sister, Dorothy Bullard; and brother-in-law, Johnny Herald.
