Judy Dianna Lechman of Flint, age 69, died Sunday August 28, 2022 at Hurley Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday September 3, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Dieudonne Ntakarutiman, Celebrant, with private burial in New Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 4-7 pm Friday at Hansen Funeral Home, Downtown Davison, with a parish rosary being prayed at 7:00 pm. Judy will lie in state from 9:00 am Saturday until time of services at the church. Those desiring may make contributions in Judy’s memory to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Judy was born in Flint Michigan on January 2, 1953 the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Turchon) Lechman and has resided in the Flint area her entire life. She was joined in marriage to Darrell Gillespie on June 22, 2004. Judy was a graduate of Kearsley High School Class of 1971, and was member of the UAW. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and also attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Davison. Judy was a true love of animals and enjoyed watching the old sitcom shows on TV. She had been employed by General Motors AC-Dephi Division until her retirement,
Surviving is husband Darrell, brothers: Wayne and wife Deb Lechman, Ron Lechman, and William Lechman, stepson Howard and wife Tiffany Gillispie and grandson Crue Gillispie. She also leaves her loving companion and dogs Anna & Charlie, and a host of extended family and friends. Judy is preceded in death by sister Elizabeth Lechman, and brother Donald Lechman.
