GUSTAFSON, Glenna Dale (Quinn) – of Davison, MI, age 83, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 12:30 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Private interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11:30 AM-12:30 PM Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home.
Glenna was born in Flint, MI on March 8, 1940, daughter of the late Joseph and Loretta Quinn. On October 1, 1960, Glenna married Richard Gustafson and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2019. She was an avid bowler, finding joy and camaraderie on the bowling lanes. A devout member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Clio, MI, Glenna found solace and inspiration in her faith. Her attendance at church was not only a testament to her spiritual connection, but also a demonstration of her commitment to community and fellowship. In addition to her love for bowling and her dedication to her faith, Glenna was a skilled seamstress. Her talent for sewing created beautiful garments and intricate designs, leaving a legacy of creativity and craftsmanship. As a proud member of the Red Hat Society, Glenna embraced the spirit of fun and friendship that the organization represents. Her participation in various events and gatherings brought laughter and joy to those around her. In the kitchen, Glenna was a culinary artist. Her love for cooking was evident in the delicious meals she prepared for family and friends. Whether it was a comforting home-cooked dish, or a special recipe passed down through generations, her food was a source of warmth and connection. Glenna leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of passion, kindness, and creativity. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Glenna is survived by 2 children, Terry (Kim Mahncke) Horton and Eric Gustafson; grandson, Nick (Amy) Horton; great-granddaughter, Savannah Horton; 1 brother, Jack (Diane) Quinn; great-niece, Glenna Kreh; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Loretta Quinn; husband, Richard Gustafson; son, David Gustafson; twin sister, Donna Quinn and sister, Joan (Robert) Kreh.
The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Glenna’s caregivers, Sylvia Turcas and Stephanie Turcas and Liz from St. Croix Hospice and for their professional and compassionate care of Glenna.
