REIF, Donna Jean (Horning) – of Flint, MI, age 91, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, September 12, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-1 PM Friday, September 12, 2025 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan or Carriage Town Ministries, in Donna’s memory.
Donna was born in Flint, MI on September 21, 1933, daughter of the late Frank and Esther (Hill) Horning. She married Marvin Reif on April 11, 1950 and he preceded her in death on August 2, 1995. Donna dedicated 32 years of her life to General Motors, where her work ethic and commitment earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. A talented crocheter, Donna spent countless hours creating beautiful works of art that were gifted to friends and family, each piece infused with her love and care. Her garden was a reflection of her nurturing spirit—always blossoming with color, life, and beauty. She found great joy in music, and as a longtime member of the AC Ladies Choir, she cherished the bonds formed through song and shared moments of fellowship. Above all, Donna’s greatest love was her family. She was a constant source of warmth, kindness, and unwavering support. Her generous heart and gentle spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Donna is survived by 5 children, Michael M. (Suzanne G.) Reif, David A. Reif, Julie A. (James L. Clark) Martin, Janelle L. (Keith) Craine and Janette L. Reif; 7 grandchildren, James R. Reif, Charles E. (Tiffany) Martin, Bryan M. (Jennifer) Reif, Benjamin D. (Ashley) Reif, Rocky (Jennifer) Reif, Shane Reif and Jason E. Bonk; 10 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Esther Horning; husband, Marvin Reif; son-in-law, James W. Martin; grandson, Robert A. Bonk and 5 siblings.
