GRAY, Jeanette Irene (French) – of Flint, MI, age 85, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 2:30 PM Friday, June 23, 2023 at Living Promise Fellowship, 7457 Elms Road, Flushing, MI 48433; Rev. Lyle Calkins and Pastor Glenn Sischo co-officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Living Promise Fellowship, 7457 Elms Road, Flushing, MI 48433, in Jeanette’s memory.
Jeanette was born in Flint, MI on December 20, 1937, daughter of the late Howard Leon and Irene Mae (Peterson) French. She married Richard Elmer Gray on June 17, 1954 and he preceded her in death on June 19, 2020. Jeanette was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family and God were most important to her.
Jeanette is survived by 2 children, Richard Elmer Gray, Jr. and Elissa (Lonnie) Copeland; 5 grandchildren, Scott (Jen) Gray, Chelsea (Robby) Underhill, Sheena Ealy, Victoria Rose and Luke (Aiyana) Whisnant; 6 great-grandchildren, Sara Gray, Isaac Gray, Pearla Mae Underhill, Beau Underhill, Atticus Rose and Violette Jean Whisnant; 3 siblings, Jack (Joni) French, Joe (Maggie) French and Mary Teachout; brother-in-law, Thomas (Juanita) Gray; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Leon and Irene Mae French; husband, Richard Elmer Gray; 2 children, Deborah Irene Gray and Michael Leon Gray; daughter-in-law Pam Gray; sister, Ellen French Babcock and brother-in-law, Bernie Teachout.
