Crandell, Mildred Onalee, of Flushing, age 84, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at her home. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2017 at Flushing United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, Flushing United Methodist Church or All American Hospice.
Mildred was born in Flint, Michigan on May 23, 1932, the daughter of Albert and Esther (Ries) Fuller. Mildred graduated from Flushing High School in 1950. She married Gerald Crandell in Flint, Michigan at the Lincoln Park United Methodist Church, on September 22, 1951. They were married 65 wonderful years. She was the head cook at Flushing High School until she retired in 1990. In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts, bowling, collecting dolls and traveling. She was a loving mother and grandmother. For 20 years, she was a member of Shady Oaks Homeowners Association in Zepherhills, FL. She was a member of the Flushing Road Runners Square Dance Club and a member of Flushing United Methodist Church.
Mildred is survived by her husband, Gerald; three daughters, Debra Arnold, Sandra Mohr, Janet Crandell and a son, James Crandell; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters, one brother and her parents. The family would like to thank Rose from All American Hospice, and all of her care givers with a special thanks to Tessa Corbin, Lori Reames, and Rita Villarreal. |
