Keely, Kathleen Louise of Grand Blanc, age 80, died Monday, January 30, 2023, at WellBridge of Grand Blanc. Per her wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Kathleen was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on March 8, 1942, the daughter of Edward and Louise McMahon and daughter to her stepmother Laura McMahon. She married Robert Keely on December 31, 1960. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2006. Kathleen had a wonderful love for animals that she also instilled in her children. She is an active member of Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church in Burton and she was at one time an active volunteer for the Genesee County Humane Society and had served on their Board of Directors. Kathleen showed Bearded Collies and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels for competitions. She was a wonderful baker and enjoyed taking walks around Frankenmuth. Kathleen was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers and Lions.
She is survived by her children, Kathy and husband Dave Morris, Jill Keely, Robert Keely; grandchildren, Thomas (Heather), Craig (Ondrea), Andrew (Cristina), Aaron, Evan; and great-grandchildren, Teagan and Liam. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Eddie McMahon. |
