MCGRATH, Bruce Allen – of Montrose, age 71, died Thursday, July 21, 2022 at McLaren Flint. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose, Michigan. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, July 25, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Bruce was born November 27, 1950 in Flint, Michigan to Clement and Lorene (Powell) McGrath. He grew up in Burton, Michigan and graduated from Bendle High School with the class of 1968. He married Diana Campbell on September 7, 1968 and she preceded him in death on May 7, 2017. Prior to his retirement in 1998, Bruce worked for Buick – GM as a machine operator at the Engine Plant 36 with 30 years of service. He enjoyed collecting coins, stamps, and newspaper clippings. Bruce liked doing puzzles and tinkering with cars as well. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Trina (Steve) Cromwell, Michelle Haas, Bruce (Canda) McGrath, Bryan McGrath, James McGrath; Mother, Lorene (Howard) Eldridge; Step Children, Stephanie Hart, Holly (Gage) Hart; Grandchildren, Angela (Tim) Flanagin, Steven Cromwell, AJ LaRock, Kyle (Schae) LaRock, Elizabeth Haas, Cassidy McGrath, Cora Hickey, Brea Hickey, Bruce McGrath II, Jaya Hickey, Trevor McGrath, Allen (Miranda) Putney, Lorene (Justine) Carter, Matthew Nieznajko, Madisyn McGrath, Destyne McGrath; Step Grandchildren, Gage Howey, Ashara Howey, Korbin Howey; Great Grandchildren, Timothy Flangan, Lillian Flangan, Thomas Flangan, Sophia LaRock, Jeremiah LaRock, River Forreider, Connie LaRock, Daniel LaRock, Adriyan Parks, Matteo Gross, Morgan Putney, Allison Putney; Siblings, Gary (Maryann) McGrath, Clement (Kathy) McGrath, Judy (Carmen) Campbell, Angela (Brian) Bell; several nieces and nephews.
