HUGHES, Lois Ann- of Clio, age 77, died Monday, November 1,2021 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors on Monday, November 8,2021 from 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home, and Tuesday November 9, 2021, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00PM.
Lois was born August 21, 1944, in Flint, Michigan to the late James and Helen (Toddish) Kenny. She graduated from St. Mary’s School in Mt. Morris in 1962. Lois married Ronald Hughes on February 23, 1963. She was a member of the Clio Eagles, Loyal Order of the Moose, and was a volunteer cook at the Clio Senior Center. She spent her time working at the Clio amphitheater and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Lois enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and being a caregiver. In her downtime, Lois loved to read and travel.
Surviving are Children: Margaret Leppek, Ronald (Sabra) Hughes Jr, Laura (Craig) Dubiel, Tim Hughes; Grandchildren: Jamie Harnish, David (Angie) Hughes, Andrea (Josh) Stevens, Stacey Nephew, Joel (Renae Weiss) Dubiel, John Hughes, Jacob (Alyssa) Hughes, Cory Nephew, Paige (Gabe) Scott, Emma Hughes; Great grandchildren: Skyla, Elliana, Hailey, Connor, Jaxson, Luke, Kurt, Scarlett, Addison, Gracie; Several nieces and nephews. Brothers: Joe (Judy) Kenny, Bob (Diane) Kenny, Jerry (Rosemary) Kenny, John (Linda) Kenny. Sisters: Louise Kenny and Kathy Kujacznski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Hughes, Mother and Father-in-law, John and Pearl Hughes; Brothers and Sisters in law: Bob and Lillian Hughes, Richard, and Thelma Hughes. Brothers in law: Dale Kujacznski, Norm Gardner. Sister; Carol Kenny; Brother; Tom Kenny. |
