BYAM, Mary Emily - Of Flint, age 90, died Sunday, January 14, 2018
at Regency of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 2-4pm and 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Mary was born in Cullman, Alabama on October 3, 1927, the daughter of Fred and Emily (Jones) Treadaway. On June 23, 1951, she married Robert Byam in Ferndale, Michigan. Mary was a Seamstress and enjoyed genealogy. She was a member of Lincoln Park Methodist Church. Mary was also a longtime member of Hurley Health and Fitness, where she enjoyed water aerobics and friendships.
Surviving are children, Michael (Edie) Byam and Rebecca Byam;
grandchildren, Courtney and Christopher (Kelli);
great-grandchildren, Haley and Averi Ann;
and sister, Margaret Anne Keeton of Las Vegas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, parents and brother, Fred.
