TUCKER, Ralph M. “Mike” – Of Flint Township, age 86, died Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Elder Steven W. Tucker (son) officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022 and 10 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mike was born in Flint Township on February 1, 1936, the son of the late John Richard and Emma Elizabeth (Conrad) Tucker and was a resident of the Flint area most of his life. He was a man with a kind heart and devoted to his family and friends.
Mike’s first marriage was blessed with five children, Dawn, Michael, Karen, Steven and Douglas. He married Anna Marie (Collins) McBride on July 15, 1989, gaining a step-son, Nicholas.
Mike graduated from Flint Technical High School and General Motors Institute, and was employed by General Motors for 39 years, retiring from AC Rochester Division in 1993.
Surviving are his wife, Anna Marie;
children, Dawn M. (Donald) Roesner of Flint,
Michael I. (Jeanine) Tucker of Davison,
Steven W. (Yolanda) Tucker of Waddell, AZ,
Douglas W. (Karen) Tucker of Davison,
Nicholas S. (Shelby) McBride of Flint;
sisters, Marilyn S. (Nicholas) Federici and Doris J. (William) Johnson;
sister-in-law, Patricia Tucker and brother, Dennis R. Tucker.
Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son; daughter, Karen L. Tucker and brothers, John R. Tucker and Nathan R. Tucker; as well as his children’s mother, Ida B. (Hodson) Thoroman, died in 1993.
