HAILEY, Linda – of Davison, age 77, passed away on March 9, 2024. A Celebration of Life will held at 3 PM Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Davison Country Club, 9512 Lippincott Blvd., Davison, MI; Rev. Harold K. Polk Jr. officiating. Cremation has already taken place. The family will receive visitors from 1:30 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bendle School or AlleyCats.org.
Linda was born in Toledo, OH on November 24, 1946, daughter of the late Lyle and Margaret (VonWedding) Johnston. She married Donald Hailey on January 11, 1969. Linda graduated from Mott College with a degree in nursing and worked at different hospitals per diem for many years while raising her daughter. Linda also taught fitness classes for several years at Davison Racquet and Fitness Club. She worked at Mott Children’s Health Center full time for a few years before taking a position with the Genesee Intermediate School District. Linda was assigned to Bendle Public Schools. Her contributions to the health and wellness of the students of Bendle was notable. She served as a nurse with the school district offering health screens, assisting young parents, and the district’s health care needs. Linda retired from the school district after over 20 years of dedicated service. She was also very active with animal rescue and equestrian activities. She had a love of horses for many years and had a lot of success in dressage in her later years.
Linda is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Jennifer Hailey; brothers, Walter (Nicole) White and Daniel (Janelle) White; many other loving family members and friends.
