CARROLL SR., John D. – of Burton, age 85, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, 9506 N. Dort Highway, Mt. Morris, MI 48458. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project in John’s name.
John was born in Flint, MI on January 11, 1935, son of the late Louis D. and Marion E. Walker. He married Marilyn Lambrix on October 2, 1954 in Detroit, MI. She preceded him in death on August 20, 2013. He retired from GM after 38 years as a Payroll Master. John enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin in Fife Lake. He also enjoyed watching football, going to the casino and playing cards.
John is survived by his children, John, Jr., Karen (Frank) Lanczok, Beverly (Darrell) Kuch and Paul (Joyce) Carroll; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Emily, Michael, Chelsea, Jacob and Ella; great-grandchildren, Pella, Serena, Tanner and Annabeth; sister-in-law, Phyllis Bullock; loving neighbors, Jan (Gary) Moore; many other loving family and friends.
