FICK, Margaret May (Larobardiere) - Age 101, of Grand Blanc formerly of Swartz Creek , died Thursday December 19, 2019. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Monday, December 23, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Dr. Gary Glanville officiating. A private family burial will be at a later time. Visitation will be held 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm Sunday and 11AM until time of service Monday.In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to Arbor Hospice or Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Margaret was born May 27, 1918 in Grand Blanc, Michigan, the daughter of Floyd and Myrtle (Orr) Larobardiere. She married Ernest Donald Fick in Swartz Creek on March 15, 1941, after 63 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on December 22, 2004. Margaret earned her teaching degree from Michigan State and Eastern University. She was a kindergarten teacher at Syring Elementary School in Swartz Creek, until she retired after 27 years. Margaret loved to travel and spend time with family and friends. She was a 50-year honorary member of the Swartz Creek Women's Club, which she truly enjoyed. Margaret also enjoyed Knitting, crocheting, playing cards, cross-country skiing, gardening, exercise, puzzles and crossword puzzles. Surviving are: daughter, Sharon (David) Merritt of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Tammy (Greg) Schumacher of Fenton, Scott (Susan) Merritt of Puerto Rico; great grandchildren, David (Christina), Derek ( Brittni), Greg Jr., Chris, David, Daniel; great great grandchildren, Braylynn, David, and Everly. She is also survived by her brothers, Chuck Larodardiere and Lyle (Donna) Larobardiere. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Myrtle Larobardiere and step-mother, Eva Larobardiere.
