Rozsa, John William of Flushing, age 69, died Saturday, August 27, 2022, at his home. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022, at St. Robert Catholic Church. Fr. William Wegher will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. A vigil service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with friends and family to share memories after. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
John was born on January 1, 1953, the son of Frank Joseph and Juliana (Obluk) Rozsa. He married Rosemarie Leineke on November 30, 1991, in Las Vegas. John worked for 20 years at General Motors. He loved tinkering with old cars, especially his Buick Skylark. John playing dominos with his wife, poker with his friends and pinnacle with his family. He was an avid golfer. He also enjoyed spending time with his lifelong friends and loved his cats.
John is survived by his wife, Rosemarie; children, Timothy and wife Ashley Leineke, Julie and husband Kevin Schriner; grandson, Brady Schriner; siblings, Barbara Kovachevich, Rosie Wegher, Frank and wife Gloria Rozsa, James and wife Linda Rozsa, Julie and husband Ray Rust; many nieces and nephews and several close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents |
