SCHWIND, Gordon Andrew – of Davison, MI, age 75, passed away on November 8, 2020. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Allen Funeral Home with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Gordon was born in Flint, MI on March 14, 1945, son of the late Gordon and Audrey (Capten) Schwind. He married Maurine Kaye Moss on June 12, 1965 in Davison, MI. Together they enjoyed life to the fullest with a home full of laughter and love as they raised their son Tracy. He will always be remembered for his calm demeanor, endless patience, and having an answer for anything that was thrown at him. He was a quiet man with not a lot to say but when he did talk everyone wanted to hear what he had to say because his sense of humor was one of a kind.
Gordon will forever be remembered by his son for providing a loving and nurturing home to grow up in, a home he built himself with love for his family. He was an avid woodworker which is evident in the many beautiful furniture pieces that he made for his family. Gordon spent many winters in Florida riding his motorcycle and enjoying the Florida sunshine.
Gordon is survived by his son Tracy (Debbie) Schwind, his sisters Nancy Erickson, Carolyn (Phil) Alexander, and Julie (Dennis) Allard, special cousin Cheryl Fewless, many nieces and nephews, and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by the love of his life of 47 years, Maurine, his mom and dad Gordon and Audrey Schwind, his sister-in-law Lynette Balderstone, and his father and mother-in-law Robert and Maxine Moss.
