John H. Reamer, 63, of Lapeer, MI passed away on March 18, 2015 surrounded by the love of his family. John is survived by his son Jeff (Tiffany Rockett) Reamer of Marlette; his grandchildren, Ethan and Emily Reamer; his siblings, Shirley (Gary) Miles of Davison, Darlene (Ernie) Uhlbeck of Muskegon, Frank (Wendy) Reamer of Whitehall, Donna (Dave) White of North Branch, and Lee (Keith) Collins of Columbiaville; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Theron and Evelyn Reamer as well as his sister, Sharon Mayher.
John enjoyed many activities in life such as golfing and bowling, however, he truly lived for the excitement of watching Jeff’s competitive racing. For 20 years, John was a constant supporter of his son’s passion and could always be found alongside Jeff at the track while he raced on both the auto and rally circuits.
In recent years John had come to know the unconditional love of being a grandparent. Emily’s eyes would light up when “Papa” arrived at the shop in his truck. She would run to find her favorite ball to toss and kick around with John. Ethan would like to show Papa his shop tools and lately had been introducing John to the world of You Tube. The family has promised John that they will see to it that his grandchildren will never forget their Papa.
Friends may visit on Sunday, March 22nd from 3-8 pm at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 23rd at 1:00 pm with visitation beginning at noon until the time of service. Memorial donations to the HHT Foundation are greatly appreciated.
