HASTINGS, JOHN ELMER “COOL BREEZE”
Of Davison, age 80, John joined his loving wife Suzanne on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 8:00?p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Michigan.
Cremation has taken place.

John was born in Flint, Michigan, on July 31, 1944, the son of the late Elmer Hastings and Doris (Williams) McFadden. He was employed by General Motors for 30½ years, retiring as a forklift operator, and was a strong union supporter.
Surviving are his children:
Scholeigh (Marc) Kyle, and Shayne (Gabriela) Hastings; his grandchildren:?Savana, Chayce, ?Keegan, Adriana, and Abel;
as well as his special niece, Traci Paul (McFadden), and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and many aunts and uncles.
