DOYLE, Aden James – age 83, of Knoxville, TN, formerly of East Tawas, MI and Davison, was called home Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in the loving arms of his wife, Marie and sister-in law, Sandra Eagan-Hill. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service, with Military Honors, will be held 1 PM Monday, January 31, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Private Inurnment in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 12-1 PM Monday, January 31, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Veteran Mentor Project, thevmpi.org, in Aden’s memory.

Aden was born in Millington, MI on January 19, 1938, son of the late Howard and Bessie Doyle. Aden worked for General Motors for 36 years, first at Buick Motor Division in both hourly and salaried positions. Then, at AC Spark Plug beginning as a journeyman electrician and promoted though the years to superintendent. Aden retired in 1992 as a Program Manager for truck gasoline V-8 Engines at AC Rochester. A job he loved. He worked as a reserve police officer in Flushing, MI, for 16 years in the 1970’s. Aden also owned and operated Mary Lee Candy store for 5 years. He was a sportsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and all sports. Aden served in the United States Marine Corps and was a proud marine. He was a former volunteer for the East Tawas Coast Guard Axillary for over 10 years and was a lector and lay minister in his church. Aden was an assistant and head coach in the Flint area for amateur hockey and Little League baseball for over 15 years. He cherished the friendships he made during his time in the Marine Corps and at General Motors, but most of all he cherished his beloved wife, Marie. Together for 62 ½ years, they traveled the country before settling down into retirement in East Tawas, MI.

Aden is survived by his wife, Marie Doyle; 4 children, Patrick (Angela) Doyle of Seymour, TN, Diane O’Shea of San Diego, CA, Aaron Doyle of Temecula, CA and Daniel (Chantel) Doyle of Davison, MI; 9 grandchildren, Spencer, Meaghan, Ryann, Jacob, Sidney, Christian, Shannon, Hudson and Brielle; 2 sisters, Lola Weisgerber and Angela Bowman; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Bessie Doyle; 2 sisters, Ada Bird and Ann Marie Doyle.

Aden was many things in life, but he was so proud he had earned the title of Marine. Please honor the memory of Aden by supporting those who have joined our military to help protect our country. Semper Fidelis.
