PAYNE, Robert - Of Flint, age 76, died Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Maple Gibson Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Visitation 2-4pm and 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on December 11, 1944, the son of the late Reginald and Jean (Carter) Payne. Robert was employed with Buick City and Fisher Body for many years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the American Motorcycle Association for many years. He enjoyed riding and repairing motorcycles. Robert also enjoyed going to garage sales, riding bicycles and traveling up north. Above all else, Robert loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are wife, Susan;
Children, Robert (Sue), Douglas, and Joe (Angie);
6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren;
And sisters, Alma Michaels and Barbara Buys.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Les and sisters, Dorothy and Daisy.
