John Stanley Russell III, age 71, of Flint, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
John was born in Detroit, Michigan, on July 15, 1951, to John Stanley II and Margaret (Langfield) Russell. He was one of five wonderful children. John was a very intelligent man, who enjoyed reading books about history and science fiction. He loved his family, and will be deeply missed by them and his friends.
John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving mother, Margaret; dear children, Jonathan Michael (Tammy) Russell and Kristina Michelle Pontello; dear grandchildren Michenna and James; dear siblings Lon Douglas (Betty Ann) Russell, Julie Ann Howie, Jim Truman and Wayne Edward (Laurie) Russell; and many nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his father, John Stanley Russell II.
Memorial contributions may be made in John's honor to Heritage Baptist Church in Skandia, Michigan, which is pastored by his brother, Pastor Lon Russell.
A memorial service for John will be held at a later date and time.
