LEHR, Robert H. – of Clio, age 86, died on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, August 8, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Carol Freeland officiating. Burial to follow in Thetford Township Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 3PM until 8PM, and Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the charity of one’s choice.
Robert was born November 14, 1935, in Flint, Michigan to the late Henry and Margaret (Roh) Lehr. He resided in Clio his entire life. Robert is a U.S. Army Veteran and served overseas in Germany. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post #393 in Hulbert. Mr. Lehr retired from General Motors in 1999 with 39 years seniority. Robert enjoyed spending time outdoors – snowmobiling, trail riding, riding side-by-sides, and was an avid hunter. He loved trips to the U.P., boating and fishing. Above all, Robert loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are: Daughter, Sharon (Richard) Wilburn; Son, Kurt (Angie) Lehr; Grandchildren: Lindsey Chapman, Lacey Childers, Ariel Senkmajer, Norman Senkmajer and Evelyn Senkmajer; Great grandson, Kaiden; Sisters: Betty Wagner, Mary (Harold) Ford, and Maggie Wheeler; Sister in law, Yuge Lehr.
