Gerald C. Lenhart (also known as Jerry) age 90, of Birch Run, Michigan & formerly of Flint, Michigan. Passed away on Saturday, June 06, 2026, at the Niche Aging Clare I, Clare Michigan. He was born the son of Royal & Mary (Mikek) Lenhart on March 29, 1936, in Flint, Michigan. Jerry was a member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport in Saginaw, Michigan.
Jerry was a competitive athlete who played Football, Ice Hockey and Golf. Jerry had an entrepreneurial spirit early on working various jobs. When he was young, he delivered the Flint Journal Newspaper, then after school he worked at the Buick car manufactory until his mid 20’s when he went into the U.S. Air force, becoming a Special Munitions Technician for the B-52’s. When he got out of the service, he worked various jobs until he started his own company Lenhart Building & Remodeling, then later started his own JL Heating & Cooling business. Jerry made a profession of faith accepting Jesus as his Lord & Savior. He had a passion for volunteering at Camp CoBeAc and putting in new heaters and helping others with many heating needs. He also Loved to share the gospel with others.
Jerry is survived by his daughter Sandra (Don) Patch of Harrison, Michigan, his two sons, Jonathan Lenhart of Nampa, Idaho and Scott (Shawn) Lenhart of Linden, Michigan, 3 grandchildren; Roseanne, Monica and Jacob, 5 great grand-children; Connor, Leo, Levi, Stella and Kade, several nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and a grandson.
Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Bridgeport, 2400 King Road Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with a luncheon to follow at the church immediately following the Service. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
