Junior Maxwell Stafford, age 94, of Flushing, Michigan passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022. Junior was born April 30, 1928.
Junior was a loving husband,father and friend. He loved to spend time with his family, his friends and his dog, Dro. He married the love of his life, Evelyn, on May 9, 1954 and they were married for 66 years until her passing. Whenever possible, he enjoyed traveling back to his home state of Virginia. Junior served in the United States Army from 1950-1952, during which he earned an honorable active duty private first class. He also worked 52 years for General Motors. Junior was known to be a hardworking family man, and he will be dearly missed. The Stafford family would like to give a special thanks to JoAnn Jacot for the excellent care she gave to Junior.
Left to cherish his memory are his eleven children: Sharon (Danny) Jones, Diane (Dan) Borgerding, Ronnie (Neita) Stafford, Michael (Bridget) Stafford, Mark (Jackie) Stafford, David (Wanda) Stafford, Beverly (Chris) Irrer, Yvonne (Joe) Pender, Kim (Larry) Bonham, Kevin (Jodi) Stafford, and Chris Stafford; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Junior is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn; parents Guy and Beatrice Stafford; daughter, Sandy Jacot; granddaughters Nichole Smith and Jennifer Schopieray; grandsons Tyler Pender and Colton Stafford.
Visitation for Junior will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 3pm to 8pm at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI. Funeral service will take place at Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 3pm officiated by Rev. Justin Rorie with a one hour visitation. Interment will occur at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI at a later date and time.
