DELAIR, JAMES KENNETH – Of Grand Blanc, age 80, died Saturday, November 2, 2024 at The Oaks of Woodfield in Grand Blanc.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. May 17, 2025 at Secord Eagles in Gladwin, MI.
James was born on October 14, 1944 in Culmerville, PA, the son of Lawrence R. and Freda May (Cypher) DeLair.
On December 27, 1970 he married Judith Sophia Stavischeck.
Mr. DeLair worked 35 years in Skilled Trades as Millwright at Flint Metal Fab Local #659. He was elected UAW Skilled Trades Shop Committee Person in 1987.
Mr. DeLair retired as UAW Vice President of Local #659.
Surviving are sons, James W. DeLair of Grand Blanc, MI and
James K. DeLair, Jr. of Kentucky;
daughters, BillieJo (David) Fox of West Freedom, PA and Linda Cervenec of Kennerdell, PA;
6 grandkids and 8 great-grandkids;
sister, Darlene Cabot of Cleveland, OH;
brother, Lawrence “Buck” DeLair, Jr. of Parker, PA.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy DeLair; sister, Joyce (John) Erie and brother, William DeLair.
